Reader-Centric Requirements Engineering (RCRE) is a research framework for studying how requirements become practically usable by their intended readers.
Requirements are often evaluated as authored statements: whether they are complete, consistent, unambiguous, feasible, verifiable, and traceable. RCRE extends this view by treating requirements as consumable information artifacts. From this perspective, a requirement is not only something written by an author, but also something interpreted and used by designers, verification engineers, safety engineers, suppliers, service engineers, managers, and other downstream readers.
RCRE focuses on one central question:
Can the intended reader understand what the requirement means, identify what information is needed, and determine what engineering action should follow?
This site provides a public preview of an ongoing research program on reader-centricity in requirements engineering. Detailed empirical data, scoring materials, industrial examples, and full evaluation results are intentionally withheld until the related paper has been submitted and reviewed.
