Measurement Model

RCRE treats reader-centricity as a measurable construct rather than as a general writing preference.

The measurement logic follows this structure:

Reader-Centricity ↓ Construct Dimensions ↓ Observable Metrics ↓ Evidence Variables ↓ Diagnostic Profile

The diagnostic profile is multidimensional. It is intended to show whether a requirement is weak in:

  • Role-Interrogativity,
  • Interpretability,
  • Actionability,
  • or a combination of these dimensions.

Why Not a Single Score?

A single score can hide important weaknesses.

For example, a requirement may be understandable but not actionable. Another requirement may be actionable for one role but difficult to interpret for another role. Therefore, RCRE emphasizes a dimension-level diagnostic profile rather than a universal composite score.

Evidence-Based Assessment

RCRE assessment should be based on observable evidence rather than evaluator impression alone.

Evidence may include:

  • requirement text,
  • role or ownership cues,
  • glossary entries,
  • interface definitions,
  • safety rationale,
  • verification references,
  • architecture links,
  • downstream work-product links.

The goal is not to reward expert guesswork. If meaning can only be reconstructed from personal experience or informal knowledge, the requirement may still have a reader-consumption weakness.

The public site does not disclose the full scoring rubric, thresholds, or empirical scoring details at this stage. These materials will be considered for release after paper submission and review.
